NEET UG Medical/Dental Counselling 2024, Rajasthan MBBS & BDS Admission Process

The Rajasthan NEET 2024 Counselling was organized by the Medical Education Department of Rajasthan. It is the state’s official counselling authority. The counselling process for NEET UG 2024 ended on December 4, 2024. This included the Special Stray Vacancy Round. No further rounds were announced after this date.

The Special Stray Vacancy Round was the final phase of the counselling. It started on November 24 2024, with the release of the seat matrix. The round continued till December 4, 2024. It gave candidates a last chance to secure admission to medical and dental colleges. After this round, the counselling process for 2024 was officially closed.

Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling 

Before this, the registration and choice filling for the Stray Vacancy Round were made from October 24 to October 27, 2024. The seat allotment results were declared on October 30, 2024. Selected candidates had to report to colleges and pay fees between November 4 and November 5, 2024. The timings were from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Earlier, the Rajasthan NEET 2024 counselling had three main rounds. Round 1 was held from August 16 to September 5, 2024. Round 2 took place from September 8 to October 5, 2024. Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet specific eligibility conditions to apply for Rajasthan NEET UG Counselling. These rules ensure that only qualified students are admitted to medical and dental colleges in Rajasthan. Below are the details:

Nationality and Domicile
Candidates must be Indian citizens. They should also have a valid Rajasthan domicile certificate.

NEET Qualification
Candidates must have appeared for the NEET exam and scored the qualifying marks. Only NEET-qualified candidates can apply for counselling.

Age Limit
As of December 31, 2024, candidates must be at least 17 years old. This is a mandatory requirement.

Academic Qualifications
Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as compulsory subjects. They must also meet the minimum percentage criteria:

  • General Category: 50% aggregate marks.
  • Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC): 40% aggregate marks.
  • Unreserved PwD Category: 45% aggregate marks.

Eligibility for Round 2 and Later Rounds
For Round 2 and subsequent rounds, only the following candidates can apply:

  • Those who did not join the allotted college in earlier rounds.
  • Those who were not allotted any seats in previous rounds.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) handles MBBS and BDS seat distribution in Rajasthan. Seats are divided into the All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota.
